A fifty-four-year-old man in Novo Oriente, Brazil, has been arrested for holding his wife, their seven children, and mother-in-law captive for twenty years while allegedly abusing them. The case surfaced after one daughter escaped, leading to the man's arrest following a police investigation. He faces multiple charges, including false imprisonment and rape, but denies all accusations.
A 54-year-old man in Novo Oriente, Brazil, has been arrested for allegedly imprisoning and sexually abusing his wife, seven children, and mother-in-law for 20 years.

The case came to light when one daughter escaped and informed authorities.

The wife, 40, lived in isolation, only leaving the house for benefits, always accompanied by the suspect.

The seven children, aged 3 to 22, were victims of abuse, while the mother-in-law reportedly died from neglect.

The man allegedly drilled holes in walls to spy on his daughters and forced them to have abortions.

Following the daughter's report, a month-long investigation led to the man's arrest.

He faces charges including false imprisonment, rape of a vulnerable person, psychological violence, abortion, and concealment of a corpse.

He denies the charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
