Google announced that from today, it is blocking the creation of human images through Gemini.
In the last day, the internet was flooded with images created by Gemini after the chatbot took too much "artistic liberty," apparently stemming from a directed and "corrective" policy by Google. Among the images that Gemini generated in response to the prompt "create images of German soldiers in 1943" were pictures of "diverse" Nazi soldiers – for example, soldiers with dark skin or Nazi female soldiers of Asian descent – which of course rewrites history.
