Indonesian Woman Swallowed By Python Near Her Home
In central Indonesia, a 36-year-old woman named Siriati was swallowed whole by a python near her home in Siteba village, South Sulawesi. Her husband, Adiansa, discovered her belongings and spotted the snake, leading villagers to cut it open and find her inside. Such incidents are rare but have occurred multiple times in recent years.
In Makassar, Indonesia, a 36-year-old woman named Siriati was found dead inside the belly of a reticulated python after she went missing while buying medicine for her sick child.
Her husband, Adiansa, discovered her slippers and pants about 500 meters from their home in Siteba village, South Sulawesi province.
Spotting a nearby python with a noticeably large belly, he called villagers to help cut it open, revealing her body inside.
This was the second fatal python attack in the province in a month.
Previous incidents include a woman found in a python in Southeast Sulawesi in 2018 and a farmer in West Sulawesi in 2017.
