Iranian Navy Seizes Oil Tankers in Strait of Hormuz as Missile Strikes Push Oil Prices Higher
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy intercepted three commercial oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz and launched missile barrages toward U.S. military positions, disrupting a brief period of calm and sending Brent crude up more than 4% to nearly $86 a barrel as concerns grew over security along one of the world's most important oil shipping routes.
