Kamala Harris Declines Donald Trump's Request to Shift Debate

Kamala Harris has declined Donald Trump's offer to shift the presidential debate to Fox News. The debate was originally scheduled for September 10 on ABC News. Harris's campaign emphasized sticking to this original plan, criticizing Trump for attempting to alter the agreed terms.
Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has turned down Republican rival Donald Trump's offer to move the presidential debate to Fox News.

Trump, 78, and then-presidential candidate Joe Biden agreed in May to participate in two presidential debates, the first in June hosted by CNN and the second scheduled for September 10 by ABC News.

Biden withdrew last month, making Vice-President Harris the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.

Trump proposed to debate Harris on Fox News on September 4, but Harris insisted on sticking to the original September 10 date on ABC News.

Harris's campaign criticized Trump for attempting to change the terms and emphasized readiness for the ABC News debate, advocating no further discussions on additional debates until after the planned one.
