His recent successful tour of Australia and Samoa indicates a positive outlook for the monarch's ongoing public duties.

Upon wrapping up the 11-day marathon tour, involving over 30 engagements, the palace confirmed that preparations for an extensive overseas tour program in the coming year are underway.

King Charles' diagnosis led to a temporary pause in treatment, allowing him to visit Australia—where he serves as head of state—and Samoa.

This trip marked his first visit to Australia since ascending the throne after Queen Elizabeth II's passing in September 2022.

Accompanied by Queen Camilla, King Charles engaged with local leaders, including attending a Commonwealth nations meeting in Apia, Samoa's capital.

The Commonwealth, predominantly former British colonies, addressed historical grievances amid discussions on climate change.
