North Korea Tests Cruise Missile Warhead and New Anti-Aircraft Missile
North Korea conducted a test of a new super-large warhead for its strategic cruise missile, "Hwasal-1 Ra-3," and launched a new type of anti-aircraft missile, "Pyoljji-1-2," in the West Sea of Korea on Friday.
The tests were confirmed by the North's state news agency, KCNA, citing the DPRK Missile Administration.
North Korea conducted two strategic cruise missile tests, according to state media KCNA.
The tests were described as part of the country's routine development of new-type weapon systems and not related to the regional situation.
South Korea, Japan, and the United States did not report the tests, which are believed to be capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
