Pakistani Citizen Arrested for Plotting Terror Attack on Jews in NYC
A 20-year-old Pakistani citizen, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, residing in Canada, has been arrested and charged by the US for planning a terror attack targeting Jews in New York City around the October 7 anniversary of Hamas' attack on Israel. Khan, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, planned to execute an attack on October 7 in the name of ISIS to target as many Jewish people as possible. He was apprehended in Ormstown, Canada, close to the US-Canada border, and also faces three charges in Canada. If convicted, Khan faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Khan's arrest in a statement.
Khan began posting support for ISIS in November last year and communicated his plans to undercover law enforcement officers.
He aimed to carry out a mass shooting using AR-style rifles at a Jewish center in Brooklyn.
If convicted, Khan faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
