Russian Gas Shutdown Severely Disrupts Transnistria's Industry

Industrial shutdown in Transnistria follows cessation of Russian gas supplies, affecting all sectors except food production.
The cessation of Russian gas supplies to the breakaway region of Transnistria in Moldova has led to the shutdown of almost all industrial operations.

The region, which is home to about 450,000 predominantly Russian-speaking individuals and seceded from Moldova during the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, is facing significant challenges.

The halt in gas supplies has left only the food production sector operational, highlighting a vulnerable and immediate economic crisis in the territory.
