And that's exactly what Ilya Sutskever, his ex-partner and co-founder of OpenAI, accomplished.
Ilya raised $1 billion in first-round seed funding for his new startup, Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), which is focused on creating a direct path to safe superintelligence. With a staggering $5 billion valuation on day one, SSI shattered every startup record in history.

The funding came from industry heavyweights like NFDG, a16z, Sequoia, DST Global, and SVAngel.
