Singapore Airlines has announced it will reward its employees with a bonus equivalent to eight months of salary following a record-breaking net profit of one dollar ninety-eight billion for the fiscal year 2023-2024.

This impressive financial performance was driven by strong demand for air travel, especially after North Asian countries like China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan reopened their borders post-pandemic.

The airline, recently named the best in the world by the Skytrax World Airline Awards for the sixth time, credits its success to the dedication and hard work of its team.

CEO Goh Choon Phong expressed gratitude to the staff for their sacrifices during the pandemic, which positioned the airline for recovery.

Similarly, the Emirates Group also reported record profits and announced employee bonuses equivalent to 20 weeks' salary.

Chairman and CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum praised the staff for their extraordinary efforts, with the bonuses included in the May paycheck.

The Emirates Group's overall employment grew by 10% last year, reaching its highest workforce numbers across 84 countries, representing over 170 nationalities.
