Teenager Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing of 12-Year-Old in Birmingham
A 14-year-old has been apprehended after a schoolboy was killed in a daylight stabbing.
A 14-year-old teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the stabbing death of a 12-year-old boy in the Hall Green area of Birmingham.
West Midlands Police were called to the scene on Scribers Lane at approximately 3:15 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Upon arrival, emergency services found the young boy injured.
Despite paramedics' efforts, he was later declared dead at the hospital.
Detective Inspector Joe Davenport from the Major Crime Unit stated that an investigation is actively underway.
Authorities are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses in order to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
Inspector Davenport emphasized the importance of public assistance, urging anyone who was in the vicinity, or who may have captured relevant footage on dashcams or mobile devices, to come forward.
