Trump Confirms Historic UFC Event at White House for America’s 250th Anniversary
President sets June 14, 2026 date for White House UFC card with eight to nine title fights, temporary arena and global broadcast
President Donald Trump has revealed detailed plans for an unprecedented UFC White House Event to take place at the grounds of the White House on June 14, 2026 — a key date in the U.S. semiquincentennial celebrations marking 250 years of American independence.
He described the event as a full fight night featuring multiple championship bouts and a massive audience.
According to Trump, organisers from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will build a temporary arena on the South Lawn with capacity for about 5,000 to 6,000 spectators, with additional large-screen viewing in surrounding areas to accommodate up to 100,000 people.
The card is expected to include eight to nine title fights — a record number for a single UFC event.
The plan follows months of discussion between the UFC leadership and the Trump administration, including personal coordination between UFC CEO Dana White, President Trump and his daughter.
UFC executives have confirmed that the event will be broadcast live, aiming to merge sport spectacle with national celebration.
While matchups have not been locked in, several high-profile fighters such as Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, Derrick Lewis and other top names have publicly expressed interest in participating, and promoters suggest the card will showcase some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts.
This initiative, blending politics, national commemoration and entertainment, represents a departure from traditional holiday celebrations.
If realised as announced, it would mark the first professional sporting event held on the White House grounds — and could redefine how major anniversaries are celebrated in the United States.
