UAE Central Bank Investigates Banque Misr After US Money-Laundering Allegations

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates has ordered an urgent inspection of branches of Egyptian state lender Banque Misr after US authorities proposed restricting its dollar correspondent banking services over concerns about money laundering and illicit transactions.
