Wild animals taking to the streets in Rio de Janeiro

Videos of caimans and other wild animals in streets and houses are frequently surfacing in the city.

Caimans and other wild animals appearing in city streets, and even inside houses, are becoming a frequent sight in Rio de Janeiro.

Conservationists say up to 5,000 caimans are living in rivers and lagoons across the densely-populated neighbourhoods in the west of Brazil's famous city.

Experts think urban expansion, polluted habitats and feeding by humans is encouraging their growing presence.
