The storm damaged the cockpit windows, exterior coverings, and the nose cone, prompting the cockpit crew to issue a Mayday call.
Despite the turbulence and loud hail impacts described by passenger Emmeley Oakley, the plane landed safely at Vienna-Schwechat Airport with no injuries.
The airline's technical team is currently assessing the damage.
