Massive Raid on Underground Nightclub in Colorado Springs Yields Over 100 Arrests
Multi-agency operation uncovers illegal immigrants, drugs, and firearms at venue reportedly frequented by terrorists
A multi-agency enforcement operation in Colorado Springs resulted in the arrest of over 100 illegal immigrants at an underground nightclub.
The venue, which was raided early Sunday morning, contained more than 200 people inside.
Authorities from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rocky Mountain Division, along with other agencies, uncovered drugs, including pink cocaine, evidence of prostitution, and multiple firearms during the operation.
The DEA led the operation, which involved over 300 officials across multiple agencies, including the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Videos posted of the operation show agents from various agencies, including the U.S. Postal Service and IRS, arresting individuals at the nightclub.
At least two people were arrested on existing warrants, and many of those detained are expected to face federal immigration charges.
Approximately a dozen active-duty service members were found at the club, who will be dealt with by Army CID.
The operation is part of a larger effort to address criminal activity in the community, with Colorado Springs Chief of Police Adrian Vasquez stating that the department participated solely to address criminal violations affecting community safety.
