Bodybuilder's Airport Prank Sparks Investigation Following Viral Clip
Preslie Ginoski has encountered criticism following her posting of a video showing push-ups on a plane engine at Sydney Airport, which has led to an official safety investigation.
Preslie Ginoski, a 23-year-old bodybuilder and fitness influencer, has faced criticism after posting a video of himself doing push-ups inside a commercial jet engine at Sydney Airport.
The TikTok video, captioned 'Quick pump before flight,' has drawn widespread backlash for its perceived recklessness.
Originally recorded last year, the footage resurfaced over the weekend and rapidly gained traction online.
Officials at Sydney Airport condemned the act, reiterating their zero-tolerance policy regarding unsafe behavior on the airfield.
An airport spokesperson emphasized that the safety of passengers, staff, and operations is paramount, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
In light of the criticism, Mr. Ginoski defended his actions, asserting that he had implemented safety measures before filming.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, he explained that the video was meant to be humorous and not taken seriously.
Mr. Ginoski clarified that the plane was not in operation and was scheduled to remain stationary until the following day, with the engine completely turned off during the filming.
He added that any visible movement in the engine was a result of the wind.
The video was captured in June 2024, while Mr. Ginoski was working at the airport, and he shared it online after resigning from his role.
Despite his explanations, Sydney Airport persists in its investigation, reaffirming its dedication to maintaining rigorous safety protocols.
