Global Growth Forecasts Cut to 2.5 Percent as Energy Price Shock Weighs on Economies

The World Bank and other international forecasters have lowered their 2026 global growth projections to 2.5 percent, citing the lingering effects of Middle East-driven energy price increases, elevated inflation and continuing strains on trade and supply chains.
