Reserve Bank of Australia Raises Interest Rate to Highest Level Since 2011

The Reserve Bank of Australia raised its benchmark cash rate by a quarter percentage point to 4.6%, as persistent inflation and elevated global energy prices keep monetary policy restrictive for longer than financial markets had anticipated.
