Two People Killed in Mount Beauty Plane Crash: Victoria Police Identify Powered Glider

Two people died when their plane crashed in Mount Beauty, Victoria, Australia, on Saturday.
The only occupants of the aircraft, they were flying over Embankment Drive when it went down around 1:45 p.m. local time.

Victoria Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Mount Beauty is a small town in the northeastern part of Victoria, known for its natural beauty including lakes, forests, and snowfields.

A powered glider plane crashed, resulting in the deaths of the pilot and passenger at the scene.

Their identities have not been formally confirmed, and both were the only occupants of the aircraft.

The incident was reported to the Coroner, and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) indicated that the scene was secure by 3:34 p.m., with emergency crews remaining on site for an extended period.
