The UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has discontinued two indecent assault charges against Harvey Weinstein.
The charges pertained to incidents in London in 1996 against a woman in her 50s, but after a review, CPS determined no realistic prospect of conviction.
The decision has been communicated to all parties, and victims have been encouraged to continue reporting assaults.
British actress Lysette Anthony, one of Weinstein’s accusers, expressed disappointment and called for legal reforms.
