The death toll from the twin earthquakes that struck northern Venezuela in late June has risen to more than 3,535, with at least 16,700 people injured, as the United Nations and international aid agencies broaden relief operations in areas where hospitals, transport networks and other essential infrastructure remain heavily damaged.
