Death of Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah Sparks Diverse Reactions

The Middle East reacted strongly to the death of Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah, killed in Israeli strikes. Israeli officials hailed his elimination, while Iran, Hamas, Yemen's Huthis, and Iraq expressed condemnation and vowed continued resistance.
The Middle East and Hezbollah's allies in the Tehran-aligned 'Axis of Resistance' reacted strongly on Saturday following the confirmed death of Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah's leader for over three decades, in Israeli airstrikes.

The strikes targeted the group's headquarters in Beirut's southern suburbs on Friday night.

Israel's military, which confirmed Nasrallah's death, hailed his elimination as a measure enhancing global safety, though it acknowledged ongoing efforts against Hezbollah's remaining senior members.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz labeled the assassination as a justified counter-terrorism action.

Iran reaffirmed its commitment to Nasrallah's path, promising continued resistance and warning Israel of dire consequences.

Likewise, Palestinian Hamas condemned the assassination as an act of 'barbaric Zionist aggression,' emphasising solidarity with Hezbollah.

Yemen's Huthi rebels vowed increased resolve following Nasrallah's death.

Iraq's Prime Minister condemned the act as a crime and a shameful attack, expressing deep sorrow for Nasrallah's loss.
