Orbán sees Trump’s win as a victory for democracy, in stark contrast to the erosion of democratic values within the European Union. He criticized the EU for being dominated by unelected bureaucrats who impose policies against the wishes of EU citizens, thereby undermining national sovereignty and democratic rule.
