Trump Plans Over 10% Tariffs on African and Caribbean Nations

President says smaller countries must stop 'abusing trade privileges'
President Donald Trump announced plans to impose tariffs of over 10 percent on several smaller nations, including countries in Africa and the Caribbean.

Speaking to reporters, Trump claimed the move is intended to correct what he described as long-standing trade imbalances and to ensure that American interests are protected from what he called 'abusive' practices by low-tariff partners.
