The Trump Era 2: A Time of Dramatic and Profound Change

Trump's unprecedented return to the presidency marks a revolutionary shift in American politics.
Paradoxically, Trump is a liar who tells the truth: he saw the Chinese threat when others were still blind to it.

He recognized the problems inherent in free trade agreements that harmed American manufacturing and workers, and he identified the collapse of personal security in the centers of major cities.

Meanwhile, his Democratic rivals, who spoke in the name of truth, did not stop lying.

What happened on Monday in Washington was an unprecedented event: a controversial businessman, accused of inciting the storming of the Capitol and facing four indictments, was sworn in (for the second time) as President of the United States.

Such a comeback has never occurred before.

There has never been a real estate entrepreneur so bold and colorful who took over a major American political party, battled with leading American elites, and returned against all odds to the Oval Office.

There has never been a figure so egocentric, megalomaniacal, and unpredictable who managed to control not only the White House but also the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court.

Thus, Trump Era 2 is a time of dramatic and profound change.

An era of revolution.

An era where what was will no longer be.

Trump won in November 2024 due to three issues the old establishment failed to understand: inflation, immigration, and progressivism.

Inflation—during Biden’s years, soaring prices made the lives of middle-class American families unbearable.

Wealthy liberals in New York did not understand this, continuing to isolate themselves in their bubble of abundance and failing to address the plight of most Americans.

Immigration—under Biden, America’s borders were breached, with millions of illegal immigrants flooding the country and threatening its identity and stability.

Arrogant liberals in California ignored the issue and did nothing to address it.

Progressivism—over the past decade, America lost its mind.

Small, radical, and loud groups imposed an insane agenda of victimhood, identity, and aggressive morality on the nation.

Well-meaning liberals in Washington did not dare to confront the madness but instead succumbed to it.

There was a deep connection between these three issues, which the Democrats failed to see.

As a result, the upper echelons of America—academia, the media, and the urban elite—became completely detached from the reality of the broader population.

The colorful Trump was the only politician who understood this and the only one with the courage to oppose what seemed to be the spirit of the times.

The prevailing claim is that Trump is a liar.

Indeed, the 47th president does not always stick to the facts.

But paradoxically, Trump is a liar who tells the truth: he saw the Chinese threat when others were still blind, he identified the flaws in free trade agreements that harmed American manufacturing and workers, and he recognized the collapse of personal security in the centers of major cities.

Meanwhile, his Democratic rivals, who spoke in the name of truth, did not stop lying.

They lied about Biden’s capability to function, they lied about Kamala Harris's presidential capabilities, they lied about the alleged criminality of the Republican Party’s leader, and they lied when they told the public a false narrative about the state of America.

It is unclear where the newly reelected president will take his victory.

The forcefulness of his early days in office does not bode well, but time will tell.

What is already clear is that the quarter-century of progressivism has come to an end.

The deep corruption of the supposedly liberal establishments led to their collapse.
