Trump Says He Could Declare Strait of Hormuz US Territory After Iran Conflict Ends

President Donald Trump said at a New York police academy event that he would consider declaring the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz United States territory once the conflict with Iran is resolved, although a White House official later described the remark as informal rhetoric.
