President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have begun an unprecedented second state visit to the United Kingdom, marked by full ceremonial honours and diplomatic pageantry.

They arrived on September 17, 2025, at London Stansted, and were formally greeted at Windsor Castle by King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with senior UK officials, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The visit features a carriage procession, military flypast, royal salute, and a grand state banquet.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the first day will be private, with no public events, although the proceedings will include an open-air greeting and inspection of the Guard of Honour.

The trip is being viewed as a high-stakes diplomatic venture, aimed at reinforcing UK-US cooperation on trade, technology and international security, despite protests over Trump’s past associations.
