Ash Barty Celebrates the Birth of Her Second Child
The former tennis champion shares heartfelt announcement of her newborn daughter on social media.
Former world number one tennis player Ash Barty has announced the joyful arrival of her second child with husband Garry Kissick.
The couple welcomed a daughter named Jordan, as confirmed by a social media post on Monday afternoon.
Alongside a photograph of the newborn, Barty expressed her emotions by writing, 'Welcome to the world, Jordan.' The 29-year-old also conveyed her gratitude, stating, 'You are loved unconditionally and we are so grateful to have you in our arms, gorgeous girl.'
Jordan joins the family as the couple's second child, following the birth of their son Hayden, who is nearly two years old.
Since retiring from professional tennis in March 2020, Barty has remained active in various pursuits, including publishing a series of children's books and releasing her autobiography, 'My Dream Time.' Additionally, she has established a foundation aimed at supporting young talent in tennis, and has taken on a mentorship role for emerging Australian tennis player Olivia Gadecki.
Barty continues to maintain a strong connection to the sport while embracing her new role as a mother.
