Minnesota Lawmaker and Husband Killed in Targeted Shooting
Gunman posed as police officer; manhunt underway
Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were fatally shot in their home by a gunman impersonating a police officer.
The suspect, identified as 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter, also wounded State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, in a separate attack.
Authorities discovered a hit list in Boelter's vehicle targeting approximately 70 Democratic figures, including Governor Tim Walz and U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar.
The attacks have been condemned as politically motivated violence, prompting a statewide manhunt and heightened security measures for public officials.
