Deadly Explosion at U.S. Steel Plant in Pennsylvania

One killed and dozens injured at Clairton Coke Works facility
An explosion at the U.S. Steel Clairton Coke Works plant near Pittsburgh has left one person dead and dozens injured.
The blast, which occurred late on the morning of August 11, sent black smoke over the Monongahela Valley and trapped multiple people under rubble.
Authorities dispatched 15 ambulances to the scene and urged residents to stay away to allow rescue operations to continue.
Witnesses reported a thunderous boom and said the shockwave shook their homes.
