President Trump has signed an executive order extending the U.S.–China tariff truce by another 90 days, just hours before higher duties were set to take effect.
The extension prevents tariff rates from returning to triple-digit levels and follows Trump’s remarks that Beijing has been 'dealing quite nicely.' Trade analysts expect another 90-day extension is likely to be negotiated.
