Eva Mendes says she and Ryan Gosling had a 'non-verbal agreement' that she'd stop acting to be a full-time mom
Eva Mendes discussed her decision to pause her acting career to focus on raising her children with partner Ryan Gosling, expressing contentment with her choice during a "Today" show interview.
She last acted in Gosling's 2014 film "Lost River" and has since shifted her work focus to accommodate family life, describing their arrangement as a "non-verbal agreement" where Gosling continued acting while she managed her work from home.
The couple, private about their relationship since meeting on the set of "The Place Beyond the Pines" in 2012, have two daughters born in 2014 and 2016.
Mendes praises Gosling's dedication to his craft and although she has stepped back from on-screen roles, including passing on projects involving violence or sexuality, she hasn't ruled out a return to acting for the right role. Her most recent work was voicing a character in the children's show "Bluey" in 2021.
