In Naushahro Feroze, Sindh, a father named Tayyab confessed to burying his 15-day-old daughter alive due to financial struggles preventing him from affording medical treatment, ARY News reported.
Police have lodged a formal case against Tayyab, who has admitted guilt.
Following a court directive, the child's grave will be opened for forensic examination through postmortem procedures.
In a separate incident in Lahore's Defence B area, a 13-year-old domestic worker named Tehreem was allegedly subjected to severe abuse by her employers, resulting in fractures to her hand and nose.
An FIR was registered against the accused, Hassam, who has been detained, while efforts to apprehend his wife continue.
The Superintendent of Police Cantt assured swift justice for the young victim, ARY News reported.
