Florida’s Space Coast Sets Packed December Launch Schedule After Latest Falcon 9 Mission
SpaceX and ULA line up multiple launches this month from Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center
Following the successful December 1 liftoff of a SpaceX Falcon 9 carrying 29 Starlink satellites, Florida’s Space Coast is preparing for several more launches in the coming days.
While no launch is scheduled for today, upcoming missions are stacked closely together as both SpaceX and United Launch Alliance advance end-of-year operations.
The next planned launch is a Falcon 9 Starlink mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, set for December 2 with a window stretching from mid-afternoon into the early evening.
A backup opportunity is available on December 3. Additional Starlink deployments are planned for December 7 at Kennedy Space Center, followed by a national-security mission, NROL-77, set to fly aboard a Falcon 9 on December 9.
United Launch Alliance is slated to return to the range on December 15 with an Atlas V rocket launching a satellite for Amazon’s Leo communications network.
These missions contribute to what is on track to be a record-setting year for Florida’s launch facilities, nearing 110 total launches.
As always, all dates remain subject to weather, technical readiness, and range safety considerations.
Space Coast officials advise watchers to monitor official updates as the busy December schedule unfolds.
