German-American Billionaire Declared Dead Found Alive in Moscow with Russian Mistress: Report
A report suggests that billionaire Karl-Erivan Haub, who went missing during a skiing trip in Switzerland in 2018 and was believed to be dead, is actually living in Moscow with a younger mistress named Veronika Ermilova.
Despite an extensive search, Haub's body was never found.
In 2021, a German court declared businessman Rudolf Haub legally dead.
Haub, who was the owner of retail giant Tengelmann Group with over 75,000 employees, left behind his wife and two children.
His brother, Christian, took over the company after Haub's disappearance.
However, German broadcaster RTL claims to have identified Haub living in Moscow with a younger mistress, Veronika Ermilova.
RTL alleges that Haub called Ermilova 13 times in the three days before his disappearance, with one call lasting over an hour, raising suspicions that Haub may have faked his death.
A billionaire named Karl-Erivan Haub is rumored to have held a Russian passport along with his US and German citizenships.
Ermilova, a 44-year-old woman who ran an event agency in St. Petersburg, is suspected of having ties to Russia's FSB security service.
The report states that Ermilova and Haub were in the same places at the same times in Moscow and Sochi in July 2008.
