Iran Enforces Electronics Ban on Flights After Lebanon Attacks
Iran has banned pagers and walkie-talkies on all flights after sabotage attacks in Lebanon blamed on Israel led to numerous casualties. The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran announced the ban, reflecting increased regional tensions. This also follows a similar ban by Emirates and several airlines suspending flights to Iran after its missile strike on Israel.
Iran has implemented a ban on pagers and walkie-talkies in flight cabins and unaccompanied cargo on all flights, according to a report by the ISNA news agency.
This move follows deadly sabotage attacks attributed to Israel, targeting Iran-aligned Hezbollah members in Lebanon, resulting in 39 deaths and thousands wounded.
The ban was announced by Jafar Yazerlo, spokesperson for Iran's Civil Aviation Organization.
These attacks intensified regional tensions and led to similar bans by airlines like Emirates.
Furthermore, multiple airlines have suspended flights to Iran following Tehran's missile retaliation against Israel on October 1.
Israel has declared intentions for a significant response to these actions.
