Prince Harry Returns to UK for Invictus Games Anniversary: First Visit Since Father's Cancer Diagnosis

Prince Harry is returning to the UK in May for the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games.
He last visited in February after his father, King Charles, announced his cancer diagnosis.

Harry will deliver a reading at a ceremony in London's St Paul's Cathedral to commemorate the occasion.

He expressed gratitude for being able to see his family during his brief trip.

Prince Harry has made occasional visits to the UK since moving to the US with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in 2020.

He attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and his father's coronation.

It's unclear if Harry will meet with his relatives during his next visit, which could include Meghan at the Invictus Games.

Meghan's attendance is uncertain due to the proximity to their son Archie's fifth birthday and the potential for travel restrictions.

King Charles, who is undergoing treatment, is expected to resume public duties soon and will welcome Japan's Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako for a state visit in June.

The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry, are a competition that helps support the recovery of wounded, injured, and sick military personnel and veterans through adaptive sports.

The next games will be held in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, in February 2025, with over 500 competitors from 20 countries participating.
