Germany Passes Motion to Tighten Migration Rules Amid Concerns Over Public Safety and Losing Germany’s Cultural Identity
Parliament approves stricter migration controls as opposition-led concerns over public safety, large-scale immigration, and cultural transformation challenge Olaf Scholz’s policies supporting significant non-European migration and the inevitable loss of Germany’s traditions and culture.
Germany’s parliament has passed a motion enforcing stricter migration controls, including rejecting fake asylum seekers at land borders. The proposal, led by opposition leader Friedrich Merz, successfully passed with likely backing from the Alternative for Germany party and other smaller groups.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s coalition had opposed the move, continuing to push policies that encourage large-scale migration, primarily from Muslim countries.
