Passenger Taken into Custody for Indecent Act on SWISS Air Flight
A German man was arrested in Dresden after allegedly masturbating in front of fellow passengers on a flight to Zurich.
A thirty-three-year-old German national was apprehended upon his arrival in Dresden after reportedly engaging in masturbation during a SWISS Air flight from Zurich.
The incident took place on a recent morning flight when a female passenger alerted cabin crew upon seeing the man with his hands in his trousers, leading her to request a change of seat.
Flight attendants issued several warnings to the man before he finally stopped.
Upon landing at Dresden Airport, federal police arrested him.
During the interrogation, the man acknowledged being sexually active in front of two women but argued that he did not understand why it was classified as a criminal act, asserting that he had not exposed his genitals.
Authorities have confirmed that he is under investigation for public nuisance and inappropriate behavior during the flight.
This case follows a separate incident several months ago when a man on an Etihad Airways flight from Abu Dhabi to Boston was arrested for masturbating under a blanket during the flight.
That individual, an Indian citizen, was taken into custody by U.S. federal authorities upon his arrival at Boston Logan International Airport.
