Tucker Carlson Alleges Biden Administration Plotted Against Putin
Former Fox News host claims Biden administration attempted to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin, sparking controversy and Kremlin response.
Conservative commentator and former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has alleged that the Biden administration attempted to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Carlson made the claim during an episode of his podcast, 'The Tucker Carlson Show,' in conversation with journalist Matt Taibbi.
Carlson cited former U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken as an example of officials allegedly advocating for actions leading to chaos and instability.
The allegations, which Carlson admitted were not supported by evidence, have drawn significant attention and criticism.
Carlson, who was removed from Fox News in 2023 amid legal disputes over election fraud claims aired by the network, has frequently criticized U.S. military support for Ukraine and accused the Biden administration of escalating tensions with Russia.
In response to the claims, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian special services are taking all necessary precautions to ensure Putin’s safety.
'The Russian special services are constantly taking all the necessary measures to ensure public safety and the safety of those under state protection, particularly the head of state,' Peskov said.
Carlson has previously faced backlash for echoing Kremlin rhetoric, including his criticism of U.S. aid to Ukraine and his portrayal of Ukraine as undemocratic.
His past interviews with Russian officials, including President Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, have also been widely criticized.
The Biden administration has not commented on Carlson’s latest remarks.
