Trump Highlights Record Achievements and Future Agenda in Exclusive NBC Interview

In a wide-ranging Oval Office interview, President Trump underscored his administration’s accomplishments and outlined policy priorities as he enters the next phase of his term
President Donald Trump delivered a comprehensive account of his administration’s achievements and future goals in an exclusive interview with NBC News anchor Tom Llamas, portraying a confident vision for the nation as he reflects on his time in office and sets expectations for the period ahead.

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump emphasised what he described as “game-changing progress” on key issues, from immigration enforcement and national security to economic growth and technological leadership, asserting that his America First agenda has strengthened the United States and positioned it for continued success.

Trump pointed to what he characterised as unprecedented accomplishments in his first year back in office, including what he said were historic tax cuts, successful conflict reductions abroad and the capture or deportation of thousands of convicted criminals.

He reiterated plans to pursue further tax relief and expanded domestic initiatives, stressing a commitment to protecting American jobs and leading global competition, particularly in artificial intelligence and economic innovation.

On the international stage, Trump highlighted efforts to maintain strong ties with major powers including China while asserting U.S. leverage in tariff negotiations and broader trade policy.

The president defended the administration’s immigration strategy, acknowledging recent challenges such as fatal episodes involving federal agents, and suggested a “softer touch” could be integrated into future operations alongside robust enforcement.

Trump also discussed his approach to economic policy and the Federal Reserve, expressing confidence that interest rates would soon be lowered and clarifying that his nomination for Fed leadership reflects a posture supportive of rate cuts rather than increases.

On national unity and security, he reiterated his support for law enforcement and condemned what he described as corruption in major cities, positioning his policies as integral to restoring order and prosperity.

Trump addressed questions about his health and cognitive fitness with assertions of strong physical and mental condition, claiming he feels “great” and equating his performance on cognitive tests with vitality.

He also discussed internal Republican dynamics, praising senior officials such as Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as “very capable” while stopping short of declaring preferred successors or future political plans.

Throughout the interview, Trump framed his record as reflective of purposeful leadership and articulated a forward-looking agenda he said would continue to “Make America Great Again” for all Americans, even as broader national debates about elections, economic policy and the role of government remain active and evolving.
