UFO: Pentagon Releases Video of Unidentified Object Tracked Over Middle East
The 2025 footage is part of a new batch of 41 declassified UAP files released under President Trump’s transparency initiative, but it offers no evidence of an extraterrestrial origin.
The Pentagon has released military sensor footage showing an unidentified object moving through the skies over the Middle East in 2025, as part of a new disclosure of government records on unexplained aerial sightings.
The clip is among 41 newly declassified files published in the fifth release under the administration's programme for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, or UAP. The term is the U.S. government's formal description for objects or events that cannot immediately be identified; it does not establish that an object is alien, advanced technology or a threat.
The newly released video shows a round object tracked by a U.S. military sensor platform over the Middle East in January 2025. The available footage does not provide enough information to establish what the object was, where it originated, how it was propelled or whether it posed any danger.
It remains classified by the government as unresolved.
The release is part of a wider Trump administration effort to place declassified UAP-related material into a public archive.
The Department of War has said it will continue publishing additional records on a rolling basis, including historical documents, videos, photographs, witness accounts and assessments from multiple government agencies.
The latest collection also includes accounts and imagery from other periods and locations, ranging from Cold War-era reports to more recent observations by military and civilian personnel.
Some files contain raw sensor material or eyewitness descriptions; others include artistic renderings based on testimony.
Their inclusion in the archive does not mean that the underlying claims have been verified.
The central distinction is between an object that has not yet been identified and one that has been shown to defy known technology or natural explanation.
In many past cases, further analysis has linked apparent anomalies to aircraft, balloons, drones, birds, atmospheric conditions, sensor effects or incomplete data.

The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office is responsible for examining such reports across air, sea, space and other environments.
