Outside the box.
In the following video, two thug police officers are beating, abusing, and punching a pro-Palestinian protester while he is already handcuffed, lying on the ground, posing no threat, and offering no resistance to arrest
This is the behavior of criminals, of offenders, of a Gestapo-style police force that recalls the Nazi regime — not of a police force that is supposed to protect the rule of law in a democratic country.
Australia no longer even pretends to disguise itself as a democracy, but such brutal violence by police raises grim thoughts about the fact that none of the hundreds of people who witnessed the incident rushed to stop these criminal officers, lawfully neutralize them, and take them to the only place where they belong to rot: prison.
We're all against these pro-palatine protesters and believe that after what the Palestinians did in Israel on October 7, they lost any legitimacy for an independent state. But such a despicable conduct by the police toward a protester evokes horrifying memories from the darkest chapters in human history, and it is deeply disturbing that this is the dark place to which Australia has descended.
