Former Congressman and Fox News Host Joins Trump's Cabinet
Sean Duffy, a Fox Business host and former Congressman, has been nominated by Donald Trump to become the next Transportation Secretary, succeeding Pete Buttigieg in overseeing infrastructure spending and transit regulations.
Born on October 3, 1971, in Hayward, Wisconsin, Duffy holds a marketing degree from St. Mary's University and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
Previously a member of the House of Representatives for nearly nine years, Duffy entered Congress during the Tea Party wave and became a Trump ally.
Known for his athleticism, he holds two speed-climbing titles and was a commentator for ESPN's 'Great Outdoor Games'.
Duffy, who resigned Congress in 2019 to support his family due to his ninth child's heart condition, will join fellow Fox News host Pete Hegseth in Trump's cabinet.
He met his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, on MTV's 'Road Rules: All Stars', and they have nine children together.
Trump praised Duffy, stating he will focus on excellence and competitiveness in American infrastructure.
