Spain’s Dam Removals Lead to Deadly Flooding; UN Attributes Disaster to Climate Change
Between 2021 and 2022, Spain dismantled over 256 dams to "restore the natural course of rivers" in line with UN Agenda 2030. However, recent catastrophic floods, linked to these removals, have claimed 300 lives and destroyed thousands of homes.
In response, the UN has not taken responsibility, instead attributing the disaster to "climate change."
This has ignited criticism and raised pressing questions about the risks of rapid environmental policies and the accountability of international organizations.
