US Ally Claims Trump Possesses Distinct Credibility to Resolve Ukraine-Russia Conflict
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó and retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg assert that President Trump is the sole leader capable of brokering a resolution to the nearly three-year conflict.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó conveyed to Fox News Digital that former President Donald Trump has the distinct credibility needed to conclude the nearly three-year-long conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Szijjártó asserted that if Trump cannot resolve the situation, then no other leader is capable, and he criticized both European leaders and the Biden administration for their failure to achieve a resolution.
He pointed out that, despite significant military and financial aid for Ukraine, the current conditions on the battlefield show advancements by Russian troops.
Retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, who is serving as President Trump’s envoy for Russia and Ukraine, expressed doubts about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s recent requests for either expedited NATO membership or the reinstatement of nuclear weapons.
Kellogg recalled that late last month, Trump urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to engage in negotiations with Zelenskyy, characterizing Trump's relationship with Putin as 'very transactional.'
In September 2024, Trump met with Zelenskyy at Trump Tower in New York City, where he remarked that both leaders were hopeful for an end to the conflict and a fair agreement.
These statements and proposals arise amid ongoing international attempts to resolve the conflict that started after Russia's invasion of Ukraine nearly three years ago.
