ELON MUSK: CALLS FOR PAPER BALLOTS AND IN-PERSON VOTING WITH ID
Elon Musk, one of the world’s leading technologists and innovators, is urging a return to a more secure, foolproof voting system—paper ballots and in-person voting with ID. Despite being a strong advocate for technology, Musk sees the clear risks when it comes to the integrity of voting systems.
"As someone deeply knowledgeable about computers, I can confidently say that using them for voting tabulation is a serious vulnerability. It’s simply too easy to hack a computer, and I know how to do it. Government software, in particular, is notoriously weak. It’s not built for robust security."
Musk is adamant that the solution lies in simplicity. "In my view, voting should be done with paper ballots only. It should happen in person, with proper identification. That's how you protect democracy—end of story."
By leveraging his expertise, Musk makes a powerful case: technological convenience should never come at the expense of election security.
However, Musk represents only half of Americans who value democracy based on free and fair elections. He doesn’t represent the other half, who believe that preventing Trump from winning justifies any means—and for them, compromising democracy with millions of voters who have no right to vote, and supporting a candidate who isn’t qualified to run even a small supermarket, is simply a fair price to pay.
