Employees at Musk's Companies Donate More to Harris Despite His Support for Trump
Elon Musk has endorsed Donald Trump for the upcoming election, but employees at his companies are donating more to Kamala Harris. Tesla workers have notably contributed one dollar 42,824 to Harris and one dollar 24,840 to Trump. Similar trends are seen with SpaceX and X employees, showing political differences from Musk.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has endorsed former President Donald Trump for the upcoming election.
Despite this, employees at his companies have largely donated to Kamala Harris's campaign.
According to OpenSecrets, Tesla workers have contributed one dollar 42,824 to Harris and one dollar 24,840 to Trump.
SpaceX employees have donated one dollar 34,526 to Harris compared to one dollar 7,652 to Trump.
Similarly, employees at social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, have given one dollar 13,213 to Harris and less than one dollar 500 to Trump.
Notably, many of Musk's employees are based in Democratic-leaning California.
Musk has increasingly supported Trump and right-leaning policies, despite his previous backing of President Joe Biden.
Recently, he announced plans to move X and SpaceX headquarters from California to Texas.
